How do I get there?

White Post is twenty minutes south of Winchester, VA — about two and a half hours north of Richmond, an hour west of Dulles Airport, and two hours from Union Station in D.C.

The farm is located at 912 White Post Road. Cell service can be spotty out there, so we recommend writing down directions before you leave!

If you’re traveling a ways and want to get hooked up with other guests interested in sharing a rental car or Airbnb, let us know when you RSVP.

Where should I stay?

YOU CAN CAMP, for one! Bring your tent and party with us all weekend. There will be a designated area right on the property for camping and there will definitely be s’mores.

If you’re not trying to rough it there are also quite a few Airbnbs within a short drive of the venue; for hotels, Winchester, Front Royal, and Stephens City are the closest towns with hotel options. There is also a bed and breakfast just a couple minutes down the road and a fancy resort about 30 minutes east, if you want to ball out. (We’ve noted a few lodging options on our map).

What should I do before/after the wedding?

Here’s a map with some points of interest (like Dinosaur Land) if you’re getting in early.

On Sunday, we’ll have coffee and some pastries at the farm from 10am–1pm; stop by any time.

What should I wear?

Whatever you feel fun and fancy in! Part of the reception will be in a barn with a real floor, but for the ceremony and other stuff we’ll be in the grass (so stilettos are probably not ideal). Here’s the average weather in Winchester at that time of year.

Talk to me about the snacks.

Dinner in the form of a BBQ FEAST will be served after the ceremony. We’ll have some options for the vegetarians and the gluten-free-ers, but please let us know about any dietary restrictions when you RSVP.

Where are you registered?

Don’t buy us anything! Traveling to help us celebrate is the best gift we could ask for. Really! Also we’re old and already have plenty of dishes.

That’s not what I asked.

If you really want to get us something, we’d love a copy of your favorite record to add to our collection. (Steady Sounds is our favorite spot for records in Richmond.) We’re also registered at Zola.
